Gasthof Zur Lohburg in Waltrop

Good destination for a solid bike tour.

We were there for four days with the mobile home. Quiet place in the middle of the forest. VE possible, electricity available. Ate well three times. The landlady has the typical Rhenish humor. You felt comfortable. Model airfield next to it, made great bike tours. We'd love to come back.

We spent a great weekend on the pitch. We stopped at the inn twice and were served excellently. The dishes all tasted great. We would like to come again.

So we are currently on the pitch and are more than satisfied! Shortly after arriving we went to the restaurant to eat with friends and dog and it was great! Finally real home cooking at really fair prices! The owners very nice! We feel good here!

You can stop off nicely

Sensational, excellent, super rustic and that's even better than the very first cream. Negative reviews are absolutely incomprehensible here. The outrageous behavior of the guests is by no means due to the inn. At best, these people should first reflect on their own behavior. We give 5 stars for friendly, polite hospitality and overnight stays. The food was very good and thank you for the delicious sausage for breakfast :-)) Warm greetings from Mc Pom

We were there on 20.09.20, ate very tasty and were served really nice. When it was already being tidied up, we also got a drink, with the comment that the tidying up will take a while. We then had a very nice chat. Overall, it was a very relaxed, beautiful afternoon. Thanks a lot for this! :-)

All nice prices pleasant lots of seats outdoors nice playground. Gladly again.

'' Obligatory restaurant Einkehr, Löss hope to get a nice after-work beer Wed delicious food! Puff cake: unfriendly, disinterested service explained cheeky. that the kitchen is 'of course' closed from 7pm ... by the way, we should hurry up with the 2. 8 € drink: it will be closed at 8pm! Incredible ... never again!

Super delicious 😋 food.

Even one star is still too much, we were definitely there for the first and last time. Very grumpy and unfriendly service, totally annoyed by children. As I could see from the other reviews, every negative opinion was answered that it was not so :-D I can definitely confirm all of this! Absolutely not recommended and overpriced.

We haven't eaten so bad for a long time !! The homemade brawn probably stood open in the fridge overnight and then tasted like this. The "fried potatoes" were deep-fried frozen potato slices. The bratwurst (currywurst) on the "Manta Platte" was a bad, nasty cheap sausage. The mineral water served in mustard glasses with handles was stale. To top it off, overpriced food and drinks were also cashed in when ordering, probably to avoid future problems.

If it weren't for the beautiful beer garden, I wouldn't have given it a star. We stopped there with 8 people and their bikes. We had not yet descended, we were already being blown at from afar, the mask requirement applies. After that, no one was seen. No operation nothing. So go into the pub and order beer. Without comment and grumpy it was passed through under the plastic wall. I can only say that when customers come who want to leave their badly earned money there, you shouldn't act like that. Our tour in many other inns has shown that things can be different and above all friendly despite Corona. That's why I'm writing about a pub here. Guest house comes from guest. And we weren't treated as guests.

Clean and affordable parking space with connected beer garden. Outstanding Reasonably priced dishes from domestic slaughter Prices.Friendly staff. I can only recommend it.

A really nice camper place, large beautiful meadow, partly shady, partly sunny. If you want to be left alone, this is the place for you. The beer garden also invites you to a nice beer and if that's not enough, you can also get real home-made food on your plate. The nice staff in the current time of Corona give their last shirt only so that the guests are well. That should be appreciated. So if you are somewhere between Waltrop and Castrop you should definitely make a little detour "Zur Lohburg"

No idea where the friendly people on the phone you were reading about in the reviews ...!? In my opinion, I got in touch politely and asked politely because I missed some information on the website, unfortunately I only got an unfriendly murmured "Tach" and rather pampy and extremely unfriendly, if not outrageous, answers. I will gladly do without this motorhome parking space and the associated beer garden !!!
